Raghunandan (Raghu) Kulkarni’s journey into the wild began at the age of 14, when his passion for exploration led him to work alongside expert wildlife researchers. This early experience cultivated a scientific approach to understanding ecosystems, shaping the foundation of his career.
His love for wildlife was further inspired by his grandfather, a renowned photographer from the 1940s, who passed down an appreciation for capturing nature through the lens. Over time, Raghu combined his love for photography with a deep understanding of animal behavior, establishing himself as an expert in the field.
His professional journey started as a naturalist at Kanha National Park, where he spent three years immersing himself in the complexities of India’s wilderness. Later, he became a tour leader for Naturetrek (UK) and other global wildlife travel brands, refining his skills in guiding and hospitality.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Raghu has developed a strong network of India’s top wildlife experts, guides, and trackers. His philosophy centers around crafting meaningful, personalized experiences that connect travelers with nature on a deeper level.
